Responsible for basic field inspection activities under direct supervision including research, field work, map reading, inspections, field coding, data analysis, use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Acquires basic knowledge and develops fundamental field inspection skills
Acquires knowledge of different types of field inspection work
Acquires knowledge of the care, cleaning and use of field tools and equipment
Acquires knowledge of basic mathematics and measurements relating to field inspections
Acquires field inspection, coding and note taking, data analysis, drafting, and map reading skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General field work and inspections
Comprehension and proper use of field codes
Interpreting field maps and field notes
Assist with field safety procedures, such as traffic control and OSHA requirements
Setup and care of electronic instruments and their accessories
Apply standard drafting practices and techniques
Data entry, analysis, and reporting
Coordinate with engineers, technicians, or administrative staff
Care of company vehicles
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical certifications as required
Physically able to perform manual labor
Acquire knowledge of basic first aid skills and safety requirements
Acquire knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Entry Level with limited or no field inspection experience
