Internal Revenue Services Center

The Internal Revenue Service Regional Service Center is a mixed-use campus designed to accommodate 6,000 employees. With over one million square feet of habitable space, the campus features six floors of office space (including the renovation of the historic Post Office building converted to office space), warehouse space, a dining facility, walking trail, and three parking garages. The parking garages include a 2.5 story, 5-story, and 3-story Union Station parking garage. These three areas (1,112,000 square feet) accommodate approximately 3,000 parking spaces.

What We Did

Taliaferro & Browne provided civil design and survey services including site survey, platting, site demolition plans, site layout, grading, and erosion control, and mass excavation plans as well as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main design. We also provided detailed site design, fitness trail design, and structural design for retaining walls as well as preparing technical specifications and performing construction phase services.
